Why We Clean With Your Supplies (and What to Keep at Home)

Most cleaning companies bring a caddy of mystery products into your home. We do the opposite for our standard home cleaning: we use your supplies and your vacuum. It’s a deliberate choice, and it usually takes one cleaning for clients to see why.
Three Reasons It’s Better
Your home, your chemistry. Scent sensitivities, a baby crawling on the floors, a dog that licks everything, eco preferences — you already made those decisions when you bought your products. When we use them, nothing enters your home that you didn’t choose.
Your surfaces survive. Marble etches with anything acidic. Hardwood finishes cloud under the wrong polish. Stainless steel streaks with the wrong spray. You know what your surfaces tolerate because you live with them; a rotating cleaner with a generic all-purpose bottle doesn’t.

The Short List Worth Keeping at Home
You don’t need a cabinet full of specialty bottles. This is the kit we’re glad to find:
- All-purpose cleaner — the workhorse for counters and most surfaces
- Bathroom cleaner with limescale action for tub, tiles and glass
- Toilet bowl cleaner and a brush that lives next to the toilet
- Glass cleaner for mirrors and interior windows
- Floor product matched to your floors — hardwood, tile or laminate formulas are not interchangeable
- Microfibre cloths, 8–10 — the single biggest upgrade over paper towels; they trap dust instead of pushing it
- A decent vacuum with attachments, and a mop with a washable head
Optional but appreciated: baking soda and white vinegar for drains and buildup, and a soft scrub for stubborn sink stains.
